The 08.08.22 edition sees part 2 of my three part Madden 09 series. Madden football has always been a big part of my life. When I first joined the Air Force 21 years ago, we played in the dormatories until the wee hours. Then it was Tecmo Bowl transitioning into Madden. Throw in some Joe Montana football, too, and, well, yeah.
I miss the ambulance that used to come pick up injured guys. You could hit it over and over again. And you could get a guy injured when the ambulance left the field. Priceless. I don’t play as much now, but that’s simply because there are too many button combinations to memorize just to break the huddle.
This issue also saw a different, more experimental layout of the panels. I like the way it turned out, though if I’d had more time, I’d made the colors more dynamic. Churning out a full sized, colored comic every three days budgeting time between home life, including a 3-year-old, nitro-charged daughter, is challenging.Â
One more issue on Madden, then we’ll be focusing on some upcoming current events.
